Guwahati: The Chief Minister's Vigilance (CMV) has filed an 8,000-page chargesheet before the Special Judge's Court in connection with the alleged Assam Tourism Corporation recruitment scam.
According to a report on Thursday.
The chargesheet, submitted along with documents related to the case, follows an investigation conducted by the CMV into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process in 2025.
According to the initial report, eight candidates were allegedly appointed despite not meeting the required educational qualifications and other prescribed rules for the recruitment process.
The case also names several people accused of being involved in the alleged recruitment irregularities.
The then Director of Assam Tourism Corporation and ACS officer Monalisa Goswami was also named as an accused in the case.
Three Arrested in Recruitment Case
Pranjal Bora, Ananya Barthakur and Nayanmoni Kalita were arrested earlier over allegations of securing jobs through improper means.
Other accused named in the case include Hiran Kumar Saikia, Semim Mannan, Madhab Das, Mehjubeen Begum and Gautam Gogoi.
The CMV has now submitted the chargesheet against the accused before the Special Judge's Court along with the case documents.
The filing marks a significant development in the investigation into the alleged recruitment irregularities in the Assam Tourism Corporation.
Further proceedings in the case will now take place before the court.
