Fast-Track Court in Zubeen Garg Murder Case Paused for a Week

Fast-Track Court in Zubeen Garg Murder Case Paused for a Week

PratidinTime 5 days ago

The proceedings of the fast-track court in the Zubeen Garg murder case have been temporarily paused for a week starting today. The court will not function during this period as the presiding judge is on leave.

Due to the break, the court did not record the statements of key witnesses, including Zubeen Garg’s sister, Dr Palmee Borthakur and his friend Jayanta Kakoti, as scheduled today. Their testimonies are considered important in the case and were expected to be heard during this phase of the trial.

Officials said the fast-track court will resume its proceedings from next Monday. The hearing of the case will restart on July 13.
