Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Assam on Tuesday, ahead of a busy schedule with the Assam assembly elections now eight days away.
He landed in Dibrugarh at around 9:00 pm. According to sources, he headed straight to the Manohari resort in Dibrugarh, where he will stay the night.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to campaign for the party and will be heading to the Biswanath district on Wednesday. He is going to address a public rally there at Kulaguri field in Behali, targeting voters across three crucial constituencies—Biswanath, Behali, and Gohpur.
Meanwhile, Assam BJP chief Dilip Saikia, along with other BJP leaders, took to their social media to welcome the Prime Minister to Assam. His arrival will boost the party's chances in the upcoming polls as he gives his vote of approval to the candidates.
Meanwhile, the preparations at the venue for the Prime Minister's visit to Biswanath are in the final stages. According to sources, arrangements have been made to accommodate a large gathering, as huge public attendance is expected to witness PM Modi speak. The turnout is expected to be between 60,000 and 70,000 people, going beyond initial estimates of around 40,000 people in attendance.
