Fresh details have emerged in connection with the death of a young woman in the Azara area of Guwahati, with police suspecting that she was allegedly gang-raped before being killed.
The incident reportedly took place on Friday (September 25) night at Rudraksh Kitchen in Garal, where the woman had allegedly gone with a group of youths.
According to the reports, five young men are suspected of being involved in the incident. The woman was later found dead, raising suspicions that she may have been killed after being raped.
Azara Police have so far arrested two persons in connection with the case. The arrested accused have been identified as the woman’s boyfriend, Ashiq Ali, and another person identified as Mitu Ali.
Police suspect that another two to three friends of Ashiq Ali may also have been involved in the incident. Their alleged role is being investigated.
