The office of the district commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan district issued a public notice on Wednesday, reassuring residents that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in the district.
According to the notice signed by District Commissioner Swapneel Paul, IAS, field reports confirm that both petrol and diesel stocks are sufficient across the Kamrup Metropolitan district. Authorities emphasised that there is currently no anticipation of a shortage in the near future.
The notice urged citizens to avoid panic buying and hoarding of fuel at this time. Residents with any grievances or queries regarding the availability of petrol and diesel are advised to contact the dedicated helpline at 1077.
This clarification comes amid circulating concerns over fuel availability, and officials have reassured the public that normal supply will continue uninterrupted.
