Three minor schoolgirls from different institutions went missing under mysterious circumstances in Assam's Dhubri district on Monday, triggering concern and a swift police response.
The incident was reported from Balatari village in Fakirganj, where the girls had left their homes on Monday morning for school but failed to return. Since then, their whereabouts remain unknown, leaving families distressed and the local community on edge.
The missing students have been identified as Makmuda Khatun, Shahnaz Parveen, and Sumaiya Khatun. While two of them are enrolled in the eighth standard, the third is a ninth-grade student. Significantly, all three attend separate schools, making the circumstances surrounding their disappearance more puzzling.
Following their sudden disappearance, family members lodged a formal complaint at Fakirganj Police Station. Police have since launched an investigation and initiated efforts to trace the girls, exploring all possible angles.
