The much-awaited verdict in the death case of singer Zubeen Garg has been postponed, with Singapore authorities announcing that the findings of the Coroner's Inquiry scheduled for March 13, 2026, will no longer be delivered as planned.

According to an official update, the inquiry findings have been rescheduled, and a new date for the verdict will be announced later. The development has delayed what many believed would finally bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.

Earlier, it was expected that the Singapore Coroner’s Court would deliver its final verdict on Friday, March 13. The case, registered as COR-003480-2025, is examining whether the artist’s death in Singapore was a natural incident or if it involved any form of criminal conspiracy.

State Coroner Adam Nakhoda was scheduled to pronounce the order at 5 pm Singapore time.

The court had earlier conducted a three-day hearing as part of the inquiry. During the proceedings, the investigating officer from the Singapore Police Force submitted the official investigation report related to the case.

Several witnesses also testified before the court. These included two sailors reportedly connected to the incident near Lazarus Island, an Assamese associate of the singer based in Singapore, and the doctor who carried out the post-mortem examination.

In addition, the court accepted written submissions from the singer’s family. Their concerns and allegations regarding the incident were formally recorded as part of the inquiry before the proceedings concluded.
