The international version of Dhurandhar: The Revenge - Raw and Uncut has begun the streaming on Netflix outside India from May 14, nearly eight weeks after its theatrical release.
In India, the film is expected to stream on JioHotstar, though the official release date is yet to be announced.
According to the reports, the international streaming version includes several scenes that were either shortened or removed from the theatrical release which was approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India.
Fans who watched the overseas version have pointed out that the film contains longer action sequences, uncensored dialogues and more graphic visuals compared to the version that was screened in Indian cinemas.
Social media users have highlighted multiple scenes that appear longer in the international release.
Some violent sequences reportedly have remain completely uncut, including intense fight scenes involving hammer attacks, burning weapons and brutal gang-war moments that were shortened in the theatrical release.
Certain scenes were shown in the original trailer but missing from the cinema version are also said to have been restored in the streaming cut.
Another major difference which was noted by viewers is the absence of muted expletives in the international version.
Unlike the Indian theatrical release, where several abusive words were censored or muted, the overseas version have reportedly maintain uncensored dialogues along with subtitles translating the language more accurately.
Fans have also claimed that additional violent visuals and extended beheading sequences are included in the uncut version.
While the film has already started streaming internationally, Indian audiences are still eagerly waiting for confirmation regarding its digital release date on JioHotstar.
During an ongoing intellectual property rights case before the Bombay High Court, the filmmakers had informed the court that the online release in India would not happen before mid-May.
Industry sources believe the Indian OTT version is likely to remain the same as the CBFC-approved theatrical cut.
