Seminar highlights study and job opportunities abroad, offers free German language course for students
In a bid to empower students from municipal schools with global career opportunities, the Vidyaniketan Alumni Federation has launched a series of student-focused initiatives, including a seminar on building careers abroad at no cost.
As part of its "Career Series: Alternative Paths to Success," the federation organised a seminar titled "Build a Free Career Abroad," where expert Vishal Bansode guided students and parents on education and job prospects in countries like Germany and Italy.
The session covered scholarships, skill-based programmes, and pathways to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate education overseas. Students were also introduced to "earn and learn" models that allow them to gain work experience while studying.
The event, organised by Sameer Darekar, saw participation from over 125 students and parents. Key attendees included school principal Veena Naik, supervisor Jaywant Borse, former supervisor Vishnu Surve and senior alumnus Shrirang Bendale.
Several alumni members, including Adv. Kalpana More, Pritam Tikhe, Harshad Challare, Farukh Tamboli, Santosh Jadhav and Sameer Mulani, contributed to organising the programme.
Sameer Darekar announced a free 30-day German language course to help students prepare for studying or working in Europe.
This course will be available to students connected to the federation and their families.
Speakers also said there are more than 400 skill-based opportunities worldwide and students should start preparing early.
The federation has invited former Vidyaniketan students to join and take part in such programmes by contacting the organisers.
