Office Romance Netflix is shaping up to be one of the streamer's headline romantic comedies of the summer, driven by star power, office politics and a rule-breaking love story.
The feature-length film, directed by Ol Parker, will premiere globally on Netflix on 5 June 2026, positioning it squarely in the platform's summer line-up. Marketed as an R-rated, "raunchy" yet heartfelt workplace rom-com, it sits alongside Netflix's push for star-led romantic comedies aimed at late-night viewers.
In Office Romance, Jennifer Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, the perfectionist president and CEO of airline company Air Cruz, who enforces a strict no-office-romance, anti-fraternisation policy that keeps her staff on edge. Her rigid system is tested when Daniel Blanchflower, a charismatic new company lawyer played by Brett Goldstein, joins the firm and sparks an intense, secret relationship with his boss. Netflix describes the film as a "saucy" story about two workaholics whose attempts to stay professional unravel once they "start thinking with their hearts".

Alongside Lopez and Goldstein, the ensemble includes Betty Gilpin, Bradley Whitford, Amy Sedaris and Edward James Olmos, with supporting turns from Tony Hale, Jodie Whittaker, Mary Wiseman and others. Parker directs from a script written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, with Netflix Studios, Nuyorican Productions and Ryder Picture Company backing the project. Early marketing materials emphasise sharp comedy, explicit humour and a more boundary-pushing tone than many of Lopez's previous rom-com outings.
Office Romance arrives without formal critic scores yet, but trailer reaction and social media buzz suggest strong curiosity around the Lopez-Goldstein pairing and the film's "not safe for work" sensibility. If it lands with viewers, the film could strengthen Netflix's reputation for workplace-set romantic comedies that mix glossy escapism with recognisable office tensions.
