In a remarkable administrative re shuffle the Maharashtra government has appointed IAS officer Prajeet Nair as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
Nair is a 2017 batch IAS officer who was previously serving as a district collector of Gondia and now bring an intensive administrative experience to the Pune civic body.
Nair succeed Prithviraj B.P. who has been transferred to the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation as its Municipal Commissioner.
Over a period of his career Nair has held several important roles including Chief Executive Officer of Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad and Sub Divisional Officer at Jawahar in Palghar district.
On the other hand, K Manjulakshmi has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).
She has replaced Deepak Singla as a part of the broader administrative reshuffle.
These sudden appointments are aimed to boost efficiency in urban development infrastructure planning and civic service delivering across Pune and the metropolitan region.
