Redmi Turbo 5 India launch has moved a step closer, with a leaked promotional image suggesting the phone will debut in the country on 16 June.
A poster shared by tipster Sanju Choudhary on X appears to show the Redmi Turbo 5 India launch date as 16 June, slightly earlier than an earlier report that pointed to 18 June.
The image, described as an official promotional creative, has not yet been mirrored on Xiaomi's social channels or the phone's Amazon landing page, so the company has not formally confirmed the date.
Redmi has already activated a "coming soon" teaser on Amazon, confirming that the handset will be sold via the e-commerce platform in India.
The leaked poster also shows the Redmi Turbo 5 in a white finish, adding to the already teased black colourway for the Indian market.
Redmi has confirmed a dual rear camera module with an LED flash, mirroring the design of the Chinese model, and the phone is expected to launch alongside the Redmi 17 5G, which is tipped to use a Snapdragon 4-series chip.
In China, the Redmi Turbo 5 ships with a 7,560mAh battery and supports 100W wired fast charging, along with 27W reverse wired charging.
It uses MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor on a 4nm process, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, and features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the back, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the front; the Chinese variant runs HyperOS based on Android 16.
If Redmi carries over the Chinese hardware largely unchanged, the Redmi Turbo 5 India launch could introduce one of the largest batteries and fastest charging combinations in its segment, aimed at power users and gamers.
However, with no official confirmation on the exact launch date or Indian pricing, buyers will need to wait for Xiaomi's formal announcement in the coming days.
