SanDisk has introduced the Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive, a compact storage device designed for USB-C compatible laptops, tablets and other devices.

The drive is available in capacities ranging from 64GB to 1TB, with the company claiming the 1TB version to be the world's smallest USB-C drive in its class.

The Extreme Fit USB-C drive supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity and offers read speeds of up to 400MB/s for capacities between 128GB and 1TB, while the 64GB variant supports read speeds of up to 300MB/s, according to the company.

Designed as a plug-and-stay storage device, the flash drive features a compact form factor intended to remain connected to devices without protruding significantly. It is compatible with Windows 10 and later, macOS 12 and later, and iPadOS 15 and above, making it suitable for use across multiple computing platforms.

The drive also works with the SanDisk Memory Zone app, which allows users to manage files and configure automatic backups on supported systems.

In terms of design, the Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive measures 18.5 mm x 15.7 mm x 13.6 mm and weighs about 3g. It operates within temperatures ranging from 0° C to 45° C and is backed by a five-year limited warranty.

The device is positioned as a portable storage option for transferring and storing photos, videos and documents across compatible USB-C devices.
