At the heart of the Sony Alpha 7R VI is a 66.8-megapixel back-illuminated, fully stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with the new BIONZ XR2 image processor. Sony claims up to 16 stops of dynamic range and significantly lower image noise than the previous generation, helped by a new Dual Gain shooting mode designed to preserve shadow detail.
