Tesla has announced the opening of its first in-mall charging location in India, situated at the Nexus Seawoods mall in Navi Mumbai. This new site expands Tesla's domestic charging network, following the establishment of stations in Gurugram, Delhi, and Mumbai.
The new facility, located in the B1 parking area of the mall, provides a total of eight charging points to accommodate different charging requirements:
The charging hardware operates with a reported uptime of 99.95%. Users can manage the charging process via the Tesla app, which supports battery preconditioning, real-time stall availability checks, progress monitoring, and integrated payments.
With the commissioning of the Navi Mumbai site, Tesla's designated charging infrastructure in India now includes 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers across the following locations:
Alongside the charging station, Tesla has launched a pop-up store in the main atrium of Nexus Seawoods. The installation allows visitors to engage in guided vehicle walkarounds, test drives, and interactive sessions regarding the brand's electric vehicle technology and safety features.
The company also confirmed that the Tesla Model Y is now available in the Indian market starting at ₹59,89,000. To support the ownership experience, Tesla is providing home charging support as part of the vehicle purchase.
