The 2024 Tamil-language film Vadakkupatti Ramaswamy is now streaming on AhaTamil in India as part of the platform's regional line-up. In addition to AhaTamil, the film has also been made available on Amazon Prime Video, expanding its reach beyond its theatrical run.

Set first in the 1940s, the story follows the village of Vadakkupatti after its deity is washed away in a flood, triggering famine, fear and a wave of superstitions about a roaming demon. Decades later, Ramasamy, played by Santhanam, emerges as a selfish, money-minded atheist who turns these beliefs into a business around the local temple.

When a new tehsildar arrives in the 1960s and moves to shut the temple and expose the superstition, Ramasamy's income collapses and he scrambles to find ways to reopen it. The film uses humour and satire to examine blind faith, opportunism and the possibility of personal change in a tightly knit rural community.

Santhanam leads the cast alongside Megha Akash, with key supporting roles played by Nizhalgal Ravi, M.S. Bhaskar, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Tamizh, John Vijay and others. The film is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, with music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Deepak, and editing by T. Shivanandeeswaran.
