Chandigarh: Residents across several districts in Punjab are set to face prolonged power cuts over the next 4-5 days as Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) undertakes system upgrade and strengthening work.
The outages come at a time when temperatures are rising sharply, with the weather department issuing a yellow alert for heatwave conditions over the next three days. Temperatures are expected to touch 40°C, compounding difficulties for residents.
According to PSPCL, major cities may witness power disruptions of 8 to 10 hours daily.
