The divorce rumors of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai come up every now and then. They have been married since 2007 and have been together for over 16 years.

On many occasions, both of them have expressed their love and respect for each other. Needless to say, both of them have given all of us major couple goals whenever they appear together for events and shows.

Abhishek Bachchan has dealt with divorce rumors that keep circulating in the media in his own way. In 2014, when a rumor came about of their separation, Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to express his irritation and made a sarcastic tweet slamming all such unfounded rumors.

He tweeted, "Ok. So I believe I`m getting divorced. Thanks for letting me know! Will you let me know when I`m getting remarried too? #muppets". This tweet was lauded by everyone, as he came out strongly against all the fake rumors circulating everywhere.

Then, again, in 2016, during the promotions of Aishwarya Rai`s Sarbjit, Abhishek was also present. There was some miscommunication that took place between the two in front of the media. This was when he said, "Aap inki photo le lo." After this, she rushed off the stage, inviting various reactions from all spheres yet again.

This time, Abhishek Bachchan gave a rather detailed response in an interview conducted some time later. He said, "I know what the truth is, and I know how far to take the media seriously. I am not going to allow a third party to dictate to me and Aishwarya how we should lead our lives. She knows how much I love her, and I know how much she loves me."

He had further added, "If you are going to misinterpret something for your own convenience, then go ahead. I am a public figure after all. And I cannot make the media happy all the time. My marriage and my life are not going to be dictated by what the media says. So it’s really not an issue for me."

Abhishek has never shied away from taking a stand against all the baseless rumors that keep coming up every now and then about his married life. Recently, when Abhishek and Aishwarya came together on The Archies Premiere, all the rumors of their separation were once again put to rest.

Abhishek and Aishwarya are happily married and lead a happy life with their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
