COVID-19: Chhattisgarh Logs 192 New Cases, 1 Death
Raipur, Jul 26 (PTI) Chhattisgarh on Monday reported 192 new cases of COVID-19 and one more death, taking the number of infections to 10,01,359 and the toll to 13,517, a health department official said.
The number of recoveries reached 9,85,324 after a total of 70 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 341 others completed their home isolation during the day, he said.
The state now has 2,518 active cases, the official informed.
Raipur district recorded 15 new cases, taking its caseload to 1,57,629, including 3,138 deaths. Durg district recorded 18 new cases, Kanker 17 and Bastar 14, among others, he said.
With 37,440 samples being examined on Monday, the total number of tests conducted for detection of coronavirus in the state went up to 1,11,85,394.
Over 1.17 crore vaccine doses against COVID-19 have been administered to people in all eligible categories in the state till Sunday (July 25), health department officials said.
While 95.10 lakh people have received the first dose of vaccines, 22.07 lakh have got both the doses, they said.
