DC Co-Owner Parth Jindal Sends Emotional Message After Team's Humiliating Defeat Against RCB

A heavy defeat can shake any team but it also reveals character. After Delhi Capitals suffered a crushing nine-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, co-owner Parth Jindal chose to focus on unity and belief rather than panic.

This loss on Monday marked DC's third straight defeat and their fifth in the last six matches. What made it worse was how it happened. Just two days earlier, their bowlers had allowed a record 265-run chase at Arun Jaitley Stadium. In this match, the batting unit collapsed badly, getting bowled out for just 75 after slipping to 7/5 early in the innings.

After the game, Parth Jindal shared a message encouraging the team to stay united, accept the disappointment and keep fighting with belief for the matches ahead. His tone reflected frustration but also strong support for the squad.

He wrote on X, 'Stay together more than ever now @DelhiCapitals - really very tough to take, but we must keep fighting and keep believing.'

Delhi Capitals is co-owned by the GMR Group and JSW Sports, with both holding equal stakes. Since 2025, the two groups have followed a rotational system to manage the team. For the 2026 season, GMR is handling the men's team operations, while JSW Sports is currently in charge of the women's squad and will take back control of the men's side in 2027.

Despite having a strong squad, DC's recent struggles come down to poor execution and some bad luck. The opening combination alongside KL Rahul has not worked well. Ben Duckett withdrew from the season and replacements like Pathum Nissanka and Sahil Parakh have not delivered.

Their bowling has also suffered. Mitchell Starc, who was key in the powerplay, is injured and expected to return only in May. Meanwhile, Lungi Ngidi has also been unavailable, weakening the attack further.

If both Mitchell Starc and Lungi Ngidi return soon, DC could regain balance. Until then, their batting and spin department must step up, especially with an important clash against Rajasthan Royals on May 1 approaching fast.
