The buzz around Dhurandhar just refuses to slow down. Even though Dhurandhar: The Revenge is still performing strongly in theatres, fans are already looking ahead and asking one big question - will there be a third part?

Amid all the excitement, veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has shared his honest take on the future of the franchise. Rakesh Bedi, who plays Jameel Jamali in director Aditya Dhar's spy universe, spoke about the speculation in an interview. While many fans are eagerly waiting for Dhurandhar 3, he doesn't believe it will happen anytime soon. In simpler terms, he explained that the story, as it stands, reaches a natural conclusion with the spy returning to his country. However, since it's a franchise, it could always continue later with a different cast or a fresh storyline.

Rakesh Bedi also opened up about one of the biggest twists in the sequel, his character being revealed as an Indian spy working inside Pakistan. He said that while the moment felt routine during filming, the makers knew it would leave a strong impact on viewers. According to him, the audience's reaction to the second film was shaped heavily by the success of the first. People didn't walk into the sequel casually; they came with high expectations because they already loved the original. Naturally, that curiosity has now shifted toward what could happen next in a potential third film.

The franchise, led by Ranveer Singh, has turned into a massive box office success. The first film, Dhurandhar, released in December 2025 and earned around ₹1300 crore globally while receiving strong reviews. Its sequel, released in March 2026, raised the bar even higher, crossing ₹1100 crore in India and collecting over ₹1700 crore worldwide so far.

Set in Pakistan during the early 2000s, the story follows an Indian spy navigating the dangerous underworld of Lyari while trying to dismantle te*ror networks. The sequel goes deeper into the backstory of Ranveer Singh's character, Hamza, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, while increasing the scale and intensity of the plot.

Even with new releases like Bhooth Bangla arriving in cinemas, Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to perform well, holding its position even in its fourth week.

The series also features a strong cast including Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna, making it one of the most talked about film series in recent times.
