Frustration was clearly visible on Jamie Overton's face as Chennai Super Kings fell short in a massive chase against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
After losing his wicket, Jamie Overton smashed his helmet in the dugout, showing how much the moment meant.
Chasing a huge 251-run target, CSK never really found momentum. Sarfaraz Khan was dismissed by Krunal Pandya, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed Prashant Veer for 43 runs, breaking a 57-run partnership with Jamie Overton who scored 37 runs.

Jamie Overton tried to keep the chase alive with aggressive hitting alongside Anshul Kamboj. However, his effort ended in the 17th over when Suyash Sharma dismissed him, with Jacob Bethell taking the catch at long-off. That wicket almost sealed CSK's fate. Moments later, a frustrated Jamie Overton slammed his helmet after crossing the boundary line.
Here is the video of the incident:
CSK were eventually bowled out for 207 with two balls remaining, falling well short of the target.
Earlier in the match, RCB had put up a massive total. Devdutt Padikkal scored his second consecutive IPL half-century, reaching the milestone with a single off Jamie Overton. However, his innings ended soon after when a failed reverse scoop shattered his stumps.

By then, RCB had already built strong momentum, scoring 62 runs between overs 11 and 15. After Devdutt Padikkal's dismissal, Rajat Patidar and Tim David took charge.
RCB were 153/3 after 15 overs but added a massive 97 runs in the last five overs, taking advantage of poor bowling at the death. Rajat Patidar and Tim David dominated with an unbeaten 99-run partnership off just 36 balls, attacking bowlers all around the ground.
Rajat Patidar was especially harsh on Khaleel Ahmed, smashing him for two sixes and a boundary in his final over, sealing a commanding performance by RCB.
