Courtyard by Marriott Tirupati Appoints Samata Danday Chand as Hotel Manager
Samata Danday ChandCourtyard by Marriott Tirupati, which opened in April 2026, has appointed Samata Danday Chand as Hotel Manager.
The move comes as the hotel establishes its presence among pilgrims, leisure travellers and corporate guests visiting Tirupati.
In her new role, Samata will oversee hotel operations, shape the guest experience, and support the property's growth during its opening phase and beyond.
Samata brings over two decades of experience in hospitality, with a background across operations, guest services and team development. She began her career with IHCL Taj Hotels, where she spent nearly 10 years as an executive housekeeper. During this time, she was involved in pre-opening projects and renovation initiatives, gaining experience in operational processes and execution.

She later moved into Learning and Development, focusing on training and organisational culture. Her career progressed to senior roles, including operations manager and director of rooms, where she oversaw the hotel's overall operations.
Most recently, she served as Executive Assistant Manager - Rooms at JW Marriott Bengaluru Golfshire, where she worked on guest experience initiatives and operational management.
Speaking on her appointment, Samata said, "Tirupati is a destination that holds deep meaning for many people. As a team, we recognise the responsibility to provide an experience that is smooth, welcoming and dependable. Our aim is to ensure that every guest-whether visiting for pilgrimage, leisure or work-has a comfortable and well-managed stay."
Known for her people-focused approach, Samata brings a balanced leadership style shaped by her professional experience and personal interests, including travel, long-distance driving and yoga.

With her appointment, the hotel aims to build a steady operational foundation as it begins its journey in Tirupati's hospitality landscape.
