Hilton Hotels has announced the appointment of Mariano Cannello as the new General Manager of Hilton Buenos Aires.
In his new role, Mariano Cannello will oversee hotel operations, including sales and marketing, administration, and guest services.
Mariano brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently, he served as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for South America at Hilton, where he was responsible for commercial strategy across 22 hotels spanning five countries and six brands.
He began his career as a Front Desk Agent at Hilton Buenos Aires and went on to hold operational leadership roles at properties in Paris before moving into revenue management. He was also involved in the opening of Hilton Vilamoura Golf Resort & Spa and later worked on projects in Italy.
In 2015, he rejoined Hilton as Director of Revenue Management for the opening of Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro, before returning to Hilton Buenos Aires as Commercial Director.
Over the course of his career, Cannello has worked across five countries and 13 hotels, including multiple Hilton properties in airport, resort, and urban markets.
Originally from Buenos Aires, he holds a bachelor's degree in Hotel Business from the University of Buenos Aires.
