Marriott International Appoints Julie Audette as Cluster Director of Marketing for Red Sea & AMAALA Portfolio

Marriott International has announced the appointment of Julie Audette as Cluster Director of Marketing across its portfolio at The Red Sea and AMAALA.

Julie joins Marriott International following a three-year tenure with Red Sea Global, the developer behind The Red Sea Project and AMAALA-two flagship tourism developments aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

During her time at Red Sea Global, Julie led the integrated marketing and communications function for both destinations. She was instrumental in shaping global marketing strategies, driving awareness, and building strategic partnerships to position The Red Sea and AMAALA on the international tourism map. The Red Sea destination, which opened in 2023, currently features a growing portfolio of luxury resorts, while AMAALA is emerging as a wellness- and lifestyle-focused destination centred on regeneration and curated guest experiences.

With over two decades of experience in marketing and communications, Julie has worked across tourism, mixed-use developments, and sports sectors. Prior to Red Sea Global, she served as Associate Director of Marketing and Communications at Miral, where she played a key role in the rebranding and global positioning of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and the development of destination-led campaigns and assets such as Yas Bay. She also held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at Viceroy Hotel Group for Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, leading marketing initiatives tied to hospitality, leisure, and major sporting events.

In her new role at Marriott International, Julie will oversee marketing strategy, brand communications, and campaign execution across the Red Sea and AMAALA portfolio, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to strengthen destination visibility and drive international demand.

Julie holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports, Leisure, and Tourism Management from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, along with certifications in digital marketing from Columbia Business School and brand management from Cornell University.

This appointment reflects Marriott International's continued focus on building strong marketing leadership as it expands its presence across key emerging destinations in the Middle East.
