This decision was taken after the government revised the holiday date for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid). Due to this change, the exams scheduled for that day in both shifts will not be held as planned.
According to the official update, the postponement follows a recent government order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), which changed the holiday timing for the festival.
NTA has confirmed that all CUET UG 2026 exams on May 28 stand postponed. However, the new exam dates have not been announced yet. The updated schedule will be released later on the official website.
Candidates have been advised to keep checking official portals such as the NTA website and CUET portal for the latest updates regarding exam dates, admit cards, and city intimation slips. The agency has also asked students to avoid relying on unofficial sources to prevent confusion.
This notification continues from earlier updates issued earlier this month, and confirms that the change was necessary due to the revised national holiday announcement.
CUET UG is a major entrance exam conducted for admission into undergraduate courses in central, state, deemed, and private universities across India. Students are now advised to wait patiently for the revised timetable, which will be shared soon by the authorities.
