As per the revised structure, vocational teachers will now receive a monthly salary of ₹38,100, up from the earlier range of ₹20,000 to ₹23,000. Similarly, SSA teachers will get ₹35,420 per month, compared to the previous salary of around ₹21,000.
A total of over 1,100 vocational teachers and nearly 800 SSA centre teachers are expected to benefit from this revision. These centres mainly support out-of-school children and help them return to mainstream education.
Officials stated that the move is intended to improve teacher retention, strengthen skill-based education, and enhance the overall quality of learning for students from underprivileged backgrounds.
The salary hike is seen as a significant step towards improving working conditions for teachers while boosting the education system in Delhi.
