The Telangana government has officially announced the much-awaited summer holidays for school students. As per the update, schools across the state will remain closed from April 24 to June 11, 2026 .

48 Days of Holidays

Students will enjoy nearly 48 days of summer vacation, giving them ample time to relax, spend time with family, and take a break from academics.

School Reopening Date

For the academic year 2026-27, schools will reopen on June 12, 2026.

Guidelines on Extra Classes

The government has suggested that schools may conduct additional classes once a week if required to complete the syllabus on time.

Parents' Response

Parents have welcomed the decision, as the holidays have been announced before peak summer heat. With the dates confirmed early, many families have already started booking bus and train tickets to travel to their hometowns.
