Statement by MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, President of the Jansatta Dal Loktantrik in Uttar Pradesh
Pratapgarh (UP) - "All the Muslims presently living in the country were originally Hindus.
They did not come from Arabia. Those Hindus who lacked faith, who were cowardly, greedy and disloyal, converted under pressure or due to temptation. Those who were religious, brave and sacrificial - we (Hindus) are all descendants of such people." (Despite being descendants of such ancestors, most of them have today become cowardly. This is shameful for Hindus! - Editor) This statement was made by MLA from the Kunda constituency and President of the Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya. The statement has gone viral on social media and has drawn criticism. He made these remarks during a Ram Katha programme organised in a village in Prayagraj on 16th May.
Raja Bhaiya further said,
Nobody criticised when statements were made to eradicate Sanatan; but had anyone spoken against Islam…
"There is a leader in Tamil Nadu from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He says, 'Sanatan Dharma must be eradicated; it is like dengue and malaria.' It was compared with several diseases. He said, 'Hinduism is the worst religion; destroy Hindutva'; yet there was no resistance anywhere. Now imagine if someone had said the same thing about Islam - 'Destroy Islam!' - who knows how many fatwas would have been issued, what kinds of agitations would have taken place, and what all might have happened!"
Be prepared to protect Dharma
"Therefore, the most important thing is that, on one hand, we should acquire knowledge of Dharma, and on the other, as strong Hindus, we must be prepared to come forward and fight for the protection of our future generations, our nation, our culture and civilisation. No one else is going to fight this battle. We ourselves have to fight it."
Abandon caste divisions
"That is why we say - abandon caste divisions. We are all Hindu brothers. The divisions within society are the greatest cause of weakness, and opposing forces take advantage of this."
