Rohtas (Bihar) - A sensitive incident at a government school in Ramudih, Sasaram, has triggered tension in the surrounding area. Villagers are extremely upset.
According to reports, when the school opened on the morning of 22 April 2026, four plastic bags containing suspected beef were discovered on the premises. The news spread quickly, drawing a large crowd of villagers to the school.
Residents have made serious allegations against the headmaster, Mohammad Anwar, along with five other teachers, and have demanded their arrest and strict action. Some villagers also alleged that there was an attempt to serve beef to Hindu students, though this claim is yet to be officially verified.
Villagers noted that the area is predominantly Hindu and that most students at the school belong to the Hindu community. They also claimed that a few years ago, under a conspiracy, the school had been renamed "Urdu Middle School."
Following the incident, Vikramganj Sub-Divisional Magistrate Prabhat Kumar reached the spot with his team, calmed the crowd, and assured a fair and impartial investigation. Rohtas Superintendent of Police Roshan Kumar confirmed that suspects have been detained and are being interrogated.
