Bagalkot (Karnataka) - A video has surfaced showing some Hindu tourists rebuking a Muslim girl after seeing her sitting inside the historic Badami Cave Temple in the Bagalkot district while wearing footwear.

Through social media, Hindus are strongly condemning the act of the Muslim girl.

A few days ago, a Muslim girl was sitting inside the temple while wearing footwear. At that time, a woman tourist present there noticed this behaviour and immediately questioned her. Asking, "Why have you hurt our religious sentiments by wearing footwear inside a temple?", the woman rebuked the Muslim girl. A verbal altercation then took place between the two. The girl explained that she was an employee. An identity card can also be seen around her neck in the video. However, other tourists too rebuked the Muslim girl, saying, "If you are an employee here, then you should know about the sanctity of this place. Do you not know how to respect the traditions here?" Hindus also warned her not to insult their religious sentiments.
