India to supply approximately 5.5 crore litres of fuel to Bangladesh by April

New Delhi - Due to the ongoing conflict between Iran on one side and the United States and Israel on the other, there has been global disruption in crude oil supply.

Amid this, neighbouring Bangladesh is also facing a fuel crisis. Therefore, India will export an additional 45,000 tonnes of diesel (approximately 5.5 crore litres) to Bangladesh by April, Bangladeshi officials said on March 15.

According to the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), around 5,000 tonnes of diesel has recently arrived from India, and another 5,000 tonnes is expected to arrive around March 18 or 19. The required diesel supply is expected to reach Bangladesh by April, informed BPC General Manager Mohammad Murshed Hossain Azad.
