Speaking on BBC Test Match Special, Vaughan admitted England's bowlers were operating impressively but suggested Pakistan's batting made their task far too easy.
"This is Pakistan batting. Is it second-division county cricket?" Vaughan said.
The former England skipper did not stop there, insisting Pakistan's batters were nowhere near the required standard for Test cricket.
"There's no way that they are batting in any standard to say that, that is a Test match batting line-up," he added.
Vaughan also warned that England's attack could pose a much greater threat against stronger batting sides if they continued bowling in the same manner.
His remarks came after Pakistan were bowled out for just 110 at Lord's, with England's seamers repeatedly exposing the visitors' technical weaknesses.
The scathing comments add to the growing criticism surrounding Pakistan's Test batting, which has struggled badly during the ongoing tour of England.
