NIST Berhampur Participates in PhD Program at NJIT, New Jersey

Berhampur, Odisha, 26 June 2019: Institute Park, NIST, National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) has been highly invested in keeping up with the global standards in higher education, research and development. In one more collaboration with New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), USA, NIST announced today that its students and faculty will take part in Partial Online PhD Program at ECE department, NJIT. Recently NIST and NJIT had signed an MoU for summer research program at NJIT.

This PhD Program reduces the expense of international students and brings them a lot of convenience where they can stay in their home country during the first year of their PhD studies. The students will start by taking relevant doctoral level courses online and complete their basic course requirement before arriving at NJIT.

Successful students can then start their on-campus doctoral studies during the subsequent semester and take their PhD qualifying Examination. During this time the students will be considered for the departmental financial support based on availability of internal/external funds. Also, the online tuition (or e-tuition) for same courses is less expensive than the regular out of state tuition.

NJIT, founded in 1881, is a top-tier public research university in the US offering more than 125 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in six specialized schools instructed by expert faculty, 98% of whom hold the highest degree in their field.
