Gautam Gambhir was appointed as head coach of the India senior men's team on 9 July 2024, replacing Rahul Dravid, who just recently won the T20 World Cup.
As a player, Gambhir won the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 for India and won two IPL titles with Kolkata Knight Riders as a captain in 2012 and 2014. He also won the title in 2024 as the coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Gambhir is expected to coach the team India till the 2027 Cricket World Cup, and now he has a chance to add more achievements to his name.
