Behind Every New Institution, a Community: How a Foundation’s Gift Supported a Dance School’s Launch
When Shivanjali Nrityalaya opened its doors in Malavalli on 26th August 2026, its founder Suvarsha Gowda credited a circle of gurus, advisors, and well-wishers for helping bring the institution to life — among them, the Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation®, which gifted the school its website.
The site, now live at shivanjalinrityalaya org, reflects the same values Gowda hopes to instil in her students: discipline, patience, and reverence for tradition — values she says were shaped equally by her sixteen years in Bharatanatyam and her academic training in Psychology, in which she earned multiple gold medals.

The Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation®, led by Founder-Chairperson Gunesh Bharathiya, described the website as a gesture rooted in personal friendship rather than formal partnership, built “out of the same respect that binds this friendship” between the two founders.
For the Foundation — whose primary work involves training teachers and students across Karnataka’s education institutions — the gesture stands as a reminder that its mission extends beyond the classroom into the wider communities it serves.
