Haveus Aerotech To Invest Rs 450 Crore In ATR Aircraft MRO Facility Under New MoU With Karnataka Government

Aviation maintenance services provider Haveus Aerotech has signed a preliminary agreement with the Karnataka state government to establish a new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility dedicated to ATR aircraft, with a planned investment of Rs 450 crore.

According to the MoU, the state government will support the project by assisting the company in securing the necessary approvals, registrations and incentives through relevant departments under existing policy frameworks.

The agreement is intended to help the company develop the proposed facility within a defined timeframe.

Once operational, the component MRO centre will handle specialised maintenance work for ATR aircraft systems, including radomes and nacelles, landing gear and auxiliary power units (APUs).

The facility is also expected to generate around 100 direct jobs, contributing to the growth of the local aviation services ecosystem.

The announcement comes shortly after the company secured regulatory approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation India to expand its service capabilities at its existing facilities in Bengaluru and Delhi.

These expansions are part of the company's broader strategy to strengthen its maintenance operations across key aviation hubs in India.

Earlier this month, the Bengaluru facility also became home to South India's first and only authorised service station approved by Safran Cabin Germany, a major aircraft interiors manufacturer.

Highlighting the significance of the development, the Gurugram-based firm said, "By investing in infrastructure and securing world-class OEM partnerships like Safran Cabin Germany, we are making aviation maintenance faster, cheaper, and more reliable within our own borders."

The proposed facility is expected to further enhance India's MRO infrastructure while supporting the growing fleet of regional turboprop aircraft operating in the country.
