The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Cube Highways Technologies Private Limited, a subsidiary of Cube Highways, to strengthen the technical expertise of its officials as highway infrastructure standards continue to evolve.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav, along with senior representatives from both organisations.
Through this collaboration, NHAI aims to build deeper technical capacity among its workforce in critical aspects of national highway development.
The training programme will focus on areas such as traffic estimation, flexible pavement design, bituminous materials and performance assessment of highway assets.
These topics are considered essential for improving the planning, design and long-term durability of road infrastructure projects.
The initiative will primarily target junior-level officials within NHAI. Training sessions will take place at the Cube Highways Innovation Centre in Hyderabad, where participants will undergo a mix of classroom-based learning and practical exercises.
The programme will also incorporate case study-driven evaluations to help officials apply technical concepts to real project scenarios.
Officials familiar with the programme said the approach has been designed to narrow the gap between theoretical knowledge and field-level implementation, a challenge often faced in large infrastructure programmes.
The partnership forms part of NHAI's broader focus on capacity building and institutional skill development.
