Founded in the year 2020 by the couplepreneur, Archana Choudhary and Suresh Choudhary, Pomcha is inspired by the rich culture and heritage of Jaipur, Rajasthan which also reflects in their designs. They harmonize traditional silhouettes seamlessly with contemporary luxury.
Archana is a young and vibrant designer who has a BSc in Fashion Technology and an MBA in Human Resource.
Suresh, on the other hand is and MBBS and MD in medicine. He is also the financial advisor of the company.
As the duo belong from Jaipur, they have a special affinity towars the Rajasthani Culture. The 'Jaipuri Odhni' which is usually worn in weddings is called as 'Pomcha'. Thus, they thought of giving the name their brand ‘Pomcha’ as it instills the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
Pomcha was started in 2020 with a minimum investment of just Rs 20,000 and only 3 machines. But as they started getting responses from customers, they kept on increasing their SKUs. They had to dig deep and get into the nitty gritties of the market to have a better understanding as per the ever increasing demand of the people. From 4 people in their team back then, today they have a team of around 100 plus people and 75 working machines. That definitely is quite impressive!

Pomcha wants to bring a revolution in the clothing industry by mixing modern and traditional touch both in a single piece. It wishes to give women a sense of confidence by wearing an attire that reflects the rich and royal culture of Rajasthan.

'Our business has really taught us a lot. How to deal with challenges and also to have a positive approach towards every situation was a big learning' says Suresh.
When asked about their source of inspiration, Archana says “Our source of inspiration comes from Rajasthani Culture. It's traditions are rich and royal. They have a very different yet elegant feel"
'It's very unfair to say good things about the best selling collection since equal time and effort is given to every piece and every individual's choice is different so a few of the pieces are liked a little bit more by the customers.' says Archana.
They have launched their most recent collection by the name of 'Gangaur' which is a bit heavier and consists of more finer details. The ghera too is really big and it flows like a symphony. They are also planning to launch their bridal work soon.
Pomcha envisions to extend their reach globally and wish to become one of the most loved clothing brand in the entire world.
Pomcha ships Pan India and you can easily receive your favourite dress sitting at the comfort of your home in approximately 5-6 business days. If you are sitting in a different part of the world and wish to order from them, then they usually take 9-10 business days to deliver overseas order.
"There will be a lot of hurdles on your way up. Sometimes you might feel like giving up but you should always focus on your strengths and never get demotivated with hardships" says Archana before signing off.
