Chirec International School students honoured at Young Pioneers programme

Hyderabad: Plasmo Guard, an idea presented by students of Chirec International School, Hyderabad, won in the beginner category at the national finale of the Young Pioneers programme held at IISc Bengaluru on Saturday.

Students were presented with a certificate of achievement in recognition of their creative effort and excellence demonstrated in the programme.

The programme co-developed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment and Get Set Learn, the future-skills startup backed by the Arvind Mafatlal Group, saw participation of 32 student teams from Classes VII to X, drawn from schools across the country.

Steel Root, an idea from Laurel High Global School, Rajahmundry, won in the intermediate category. Other standout concepts recognised during the event included Sahaara (beginner) from Chirec International School, Hyderabad, and Aura (intermediate) from Dr SSNP School, Davangere, which received the best performance awards for the 2025-26 cycle.

Ashish Arora, Senior Vice President, Cambridge University Press Assessment, said, "When learners become creators and problem-solvers, learning becomes truly meaningful."
