Congress wants TS govt to take over 50 percent beds in Private hospitals
Hyderabad: Congress legislature party leader Bhatti Vikramarka demanded that the State government take over 50 per cent of beds in private hospitals and convert them for Covid-19 treatment. He wanted that the beds in Hyderabad in all the districts must be used to quarantine those that have tested positive for the Covid virus.
Addressing media here on Saturday, he said that the situation in Hyderabad was dangerous and said that incidence of Covid-19 in Telangana was 22 percent, whereas it was 2.8 per cent in AP and 7.14 per cent at the national level. "Telangana is facing huge trouble as 22 per cent incident is when there are very low number of tests. No one can imagine how many more will be tested positive if more tests are done," he said.
He criticized the government saying that the government that has conducted household survey in just one day was unable to take up corona tests when it was needed. "The IT department under Minister KT Rama Rao must come up with an app that gives details of hospital wise details of available beds all over the State," he said.
Cautioning about the seasonal diseases such as dengue, he said that the government must set up a committee with senior officers to prepare an action plan to tackle the diseases.
