Hyderabad: The veterinary wing of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) conducted a sterilisation and anti-rabies vaccination drive for stray dogs in Quthbullapur on Saturday.
The team covered Jeedimetla, Chintal, Gajularamaram, Kompally and Nizampet, and conducted sterilisation and Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) activities for several dogs. The veterinary officials said the activity was taken up as part of measures supporting public health, responsible stray dog population management and safer neighbourhoods.
During the drive, teams identified and captured unsterilised stray dogs for sterilisation and Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) was administered to sterilised dogs as follow-up vaccination. Field monitoring was carried out to ensure the programme was implemented in a safe, humane and systematic manner with regular sterilisation and vaccination ensured.
