Hyderabad: SBI Life Insurance organised breast cancer awareness initiative, 'Thanks A Dot', with interactive sessions at Osmania University College of Science.
The initiative seeks to normalise breast health as a living room conversation and encourage proactive discussions on preventive care.
Ravindra Sharma, Chief - Brand, Corporate Communication & CSR, SBI Life alongside Dr. Sowmya, Consultant Onco Surgeon, Apollo Hyderguda, engaged over 70 PG students in an insightful discussion on identifying early warning signs, breaking social taboos, and taking proactive steps towards their health.
"We aim to raise awareness about breast cancer, the importance of self-examination, and early detection, while highlighting how small behavioural changes can make a significant difference in preventive care," Ravindra Sharma said.
Vice Principal Dr. M. Kavitha said discussions with experts like Dr. Sowmya and interactive TAD Kit distribution empowered women to prioritise early self-detection- potentially saving lives.
