Sikh community celebrates 327th Khalsa Panth Foundation Day in Ameerpet

Hyderabad: Recitation of Gurubani Keertans and delivering of sermons by renowned Ragi Jathas, carrying revered Sri Guru Granth Sahibji on a palanquin, taking out of a huge colourful Nagar Keertan, exhilarating display of Gatka skills by Sikhs and serving of Guru ka Langar, marked the 327th Khalsa Panth Foundation Day Celebrations on Tuesday.

The festival was celebrated on a grand scale by the Sikh community of Telangana with gaiety and devotion today under the umbrella at Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet. BRS working president, KT Rama Rao, also participated in the programme.

At Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Playground, Ameerpet, hundreds of Sikh devotees and members of other faiths converged for a Vishaal Deewan. The congregation was marked by recitations of Holy Gurbani keertans and Kathas by the Ragi Jathas and Kathakar specially invited. Bhai S Gurdev Singh (Australia), Gyani Gagandeep Singhji (Patna Sahib), Bhai S Manpreet Singhji (Delhi), Bhai Veer Singh (Hyderabad) and others rendered Gurbani keertans and kathas.

Gurudwara Sahib Ameerpet Prabandhak Committee, President, S Darshan Singh and General Secretary, S Surender Singh, welcomed the devotees. A colourful Nagar Keertan was taken out from Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet, passing through Greenlands, Begumpet, and Punjagutta in the evening.

Vaisakhi Raen Sabai Keertan Darbar will be held between 9 pm and 1.30 am on April 15 at Guru Gobind Singhji Sports Playground, Ameerpet.
