Hyderabad: Janata curfew brought life to a standstill in Hyderabad as the denizens responded to the voluntary curfew call in an unprecedented manner.

Most remained hooked to the television catching up with the latest in the entertainment, some took to the books and others chose to spend the time cleaning the home and sorting out things.

Pranita Sandela, who rarely finds time for herself amid hectic work schedule, spent her time trying a hand at some new recipes and binge-watching Big Bang Theory.

Sruthi Pinnaka, a science student from the city, took the opportunity to spend time with her family.

"I rarely find time to spend quality time with family members. Even on Sundays, sudden plans with friends and other outdoor works make me spend a little time with my family," she said. But, on the day of Janata Curfew, she made sure to dedicate her day to family and trying hand on painting - what she always loved the most.

Unnati says Janata Curfew is a need of the hour since this is a critical week to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Not only adults, for children too it was a time to showcase their talent. Rishi, a class 4 student at Sankalp School shared his message 'India Fights Coronavirus' through a drawing.
