Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh has invited South Korea-based Boo Young Group to establish a footwear and footwear components manufacturing unit in the state.
The proposal was discussed during his meeting with Boo Young Group CEO and President Director Ryan Kang and Business Strategy & Planning Manager Millie Richardson in Busan, South Korea.
During the meeting, Lokesh highlighted Andhra Pradesh's investor-friendly policies and urged the company to explore investment opportunities in the state. He assured the delegation that the government would provide approvals through its single-window clearance system and extend all necessary support, including infrastructure and logistics connectivity in major industrial zones. He also emphasized that Andhra Pradesh offers a business-friendly environment focused on the speed of doing business, making it an attractive destination for global manufacturers.
Ryan Kang expressed the company's interest in setting up a footwear and footwear components manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. He said Boo Young Group is currently exploring the availability of ready-built industrial sheds as part of its expansion plans.
Kang also shared details about the company's global presence, stating that Boo Young Group, a part of Skycorp Group, serves more than 4,300 global customers and has handled over 110,000 international shipments. He noted that the company's international network could help connect India's manufacturing sector with global supply chains and distribution markets.
The meeting is part of the Andhra Pradesh government's ongoing efforts to attract international investments and strengthen the state's manufacturing ecosystem by partnering with leading global companies.
