Zoho Corporation, the largest enterprise software firm to emerge from India, posted operating revenue of Rs 12,313 crore in the year ending March 31, 2025, up about 18% from Rs 10,456 crore in FY24. The figures are part of consolidated filings accessed via Entrackr.
The company's two main software businesses, Zoho suite and ManageEngine, continued to do most of the work. Zoho suite accounted for 57% of revenue at Rs 7,051 crore, whereas ManageEngine contributed 39% at Rs 4,863 crore. The remaining Rs 399 crore came from services. Profit was broadly flat.
Zoho posted Rs 3,191 crore in profit in FY25 compared with Rs 3,299 crore in the previous year. Zoho operates out of dual headquarters in Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu and Austin in Texas. North America remained its largest market, delivering 41% of revenue, or Rs 5,028 crore. Asia followed at 30%, or Rs 3,711 crore, while Europe contributed 23%, or Rs 2,819 crore.
The rest came from Latin America, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The company ended FY25 with current assets of Rs 6,010 crore, including Rs 1,880 crore in cash and bank balances. During the year, Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu stepped back from day-to-day operations to take on the role of chief scientist. Shailesh Kumar Davey was appointed as group CEO. Zoho was established as AdventNet in 1996, turning into a global SaaS major while remaining mostly bootstrapped.
It crossed $1 billion in annual recurring revenue in 2022 and employs more than 17,000 people, most of them in India. It was last valued at $12.5 billion, as per public reports. Globally, Zoho competes with larger listed software providers, chiefly Microsoft, Salesforce, Google and Adobe. In India, Freshworks, founded by Girish Mathrubootham, is often seen as the closest comparable. Though not a like-for-like comparison (private vs public), Nasdaq-listed Freshworks generated $838.8 million in revenue in FY25, up 16% from $720.4 million a year earlier. It also turned operating profitable, posting $13.2 million in operating profit as against a loss of $138.6 million in FY24. The company currently trades at around $2.4 billion.
