Phase I of Census 2027 house listing begins in Nagaland; to end on July 30

Dimapur, July 2: House listing operations under Phase I of Census 2027, commenced across Nagaland on Wednesday.

The exercise will be carried out till July 30.

As part of the operations, the house listing of the Lok Bhavan in Kohima, the official residence of Governor Nand Kishore Yadav, was conducted by a team of Census officials led by Kohima DC and principal Census officer B Henok Buchem. The house listing was completed in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

Kohima DC Buchem, in a circular, today said enumerators and supervisors would visit every household during the 30-day exercise to collect information on housing characteristics, basic amenities, and household assets. The administration has assured that all information collected during the Census will remain strictly confidential.

The district administration has appealed to all citizens, village and ward authorities, and civil society organisations in Kohima district to extend full cooperation to Census functionaries to ensure the successful conduct of an accurate and inclusive Census.

In Noklak district, SDO (Civil) and charge officer Vikhoto Richa, along with supervisors and enumerators, visited the residence of the DC for house listing in the morning.
