The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations announced the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 board results on Thursday (April 30), with pass percentages remaining above 99 per cent in both streams, continuing a pattern of consistently high outcomes.
ISC performance figures
For the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), which corresponds to Class 10, a total of 2,58,721 candidates appeared for the examination.
Among them, 2,56,590 students successfully cleared the papers, while 2,131 candidates did not qualify. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 99.18 per cent.
A closer look at category-wise results reflects small but noticeable differences. In ICSE, students from the general category registered a pass percentage of 99.26 per cent. Other Backward Classes followed closely at 99.24 per cent. Scheduled Castes recorded 98.76 per cent, while Scheduled Tribes stood at 98.07 per cent.
For ISC, general category students recorded a 99.17 per cent pass rate. Other Backward Classes posted 99.12 per cent. Scheduled Tribes registered 98.84 per cent, slightly ahead of Scheduled Castes, who recorded 98.77 per cent.
Subjects and access to results
The examinations covered a wide academic range, with ICSE conducted across 67 subjects and ISC across 45 subjects.
Students can access their results through the official CISCE website at cisce.org, where scorecards have been made available online.
