Composer & Sarod player Avra Banerjee presents this Global Music project featuring 22 artists from multiple geographies with a compilation of 4 unique compositions.

These tracks take you through a divine and contemplative spiritual journey of different experiences that of wisdom, timelessness, serenity, self-realization, love, connections, and synchronicity establishing a sense of ultimate peace and euphoria. Firmly rooted in the earthy tones of Hindustani Classical Music, this musical tree branches out into the genres of contemporary and World music. Very unconventional and intricate rhythmic time cycles like 9/4, 11/4, 13/4 and 15/4 with typical and complicated rhythmic divisions are applied as grooves.

About Ganga Kaleidoscope
Ganga Kaleidocope is the first song of the album. Based on Raag 'Jog', this composition takes you on a voyage on the river "Ganga" demonstrating different dynamics and emotions that are sometimes intense yet tranquil, sometimes fiercely and powerful and you feel at one with the power that drives it all. Just as "Jog" signifies "connection", this track organically gets connected from Indian music to a progressive development with Western melodies and rhythm. The track is played in an unconventional unison pattern with dynamics of rhythmic beats that transitions from a 4-beat cycle to a 9-beat cycle.

About Avra BanerjeeAvra is a composer and plays the instrument sarod, specializing in World Music. He has done successful collaborations with many musicians both in India and globally. As a composer, he has also worked with renowned musicians like Hariharan, Ustad Rashid Khan, and Talat Aziz apart from participating artists in the current album. He got nomination at the Global Indian Music Award in 2013 for the best fusion music album and the Independent Music Award, USA, in 2014. Avra is currently based in Australia and formed a World Music called "SwaraSynthesis," where he is both the composer and performer. He founded a band called "Ragamorphism” while being in India.

"Music is more an art for me than entertainment. Hence, I wanted to create something that would be intricate and musically challenging, at the same time quite contemplative to the listeners.

Hence, the idea has developed to conceive a compilation of a few compositions those are based on unconventional rhythmic patterns with a common theme of acknowledging mother nature and its creators that straightaway touches your heart and your mind and trigger to attain a spiritual awakening.

The first composition, "Ganga Kaleidoscope," is a tribute to river "Ganga" that constantly evolves and changes its dynamics from its origin to its estuary. The composition aims to bring in similar emotions and patterns throughout its presentation."
